Questions about treks and tours in Himachal Pradesh

Where is Go Karavan based?

Go Karavan is a Himachal Pradesh-based trekking and tours company. All of our current treks and tours run in Himachal Pradesh, across the Kullu, Parvati, Lahaul and Spiti, Kinnaur, Kangra and Mandi regions.

Can beginners join a Himalayan trek?

Yes. Every trek carries a difficulty grade so you can match it to your fitness. The Khirganga Trek is graded Easy, and several Moderate routes such as the Chandrakhani Pass Trek suit reasonably fit first-timers. Check the fitness notes on each trek page before you book.

What is included in a Go Karavan trek?

Inclusions vary by trek. Most packages include camping stays, meals on the trek, permits and a trek leader or local guide. Transport to the trailhead and personal trekking gear are usually quoted separately. Each trek page lists what is included and what is extra.

When is the best time to trek in Himachal Pradesh?

It depends on the route. Most high passes open from about June to October, while lower trails such as Khirganga are walkable for more of the year. Each trek page gives its own best season.

How do I book?

Send an enquiry through the form, WhatsApp or phone. We confirm availability, the itinerary and the inclusions with you, and your place is confirmed once the booking payment is made.

Are Himalayan treks safe?

Mountain travel always carries some risk from weather, terrain and altitude. We plan routes with trek leaders, first-aid preparedness and trek-specific safety procedures, and plans can change if conditions or anyone's health make it unsafe to continue. Follow your leader's instructions and share any medical conditions when you enquire.
