Khirganga is one of the most popular short treks in the Parvati Valley, a forested trail from Barshaini to a natural hot spring at 9,500 ft, framed by mountain views and a laid-back camping scene.
Drive to Barshaini and trek roughly 12 km through pine forest along the Parvati river to Khirganga. Relax at the natural hot spring and camp overnight.
Trek back down to Barshaini and drive back to Kasol, concluding the trip.
Timings and campsites can change with weather, trail conditions and the pace of the group. Your trek leader makes the final call on the day.
Easy
Khirganga is graded Easy: a well-trodden trail suitable for first-time trekkers and families, with a moderate climb over roughly 12 km each way. No prior trekking experience is required.
The highest point on this trek is about 9,500 ft. Altitude sickness is less common at this height, but walk at a steady pace, drink water and tell your guide if you feel unwell.
